9.2.2 Salary-Based Subscription Model – User Manual

Powered by Yelowsoft

Overview

Yelowsoft offers multiple types of driver subscription models to support various business needs. One of the most valuable options is the Salary-Based Subscription Model, ideal for taxi companies that employ their own drivers on a fixed monthly salary rather than commission or trip-based payments.

1️⃣ What is the Salary-Based Subscription?

This model allows the admin to assign a fixed salary to selected drivers and track their trip earnings against that salary. It simplifies earnings tracking, settlement, and financial reporting—especially when managing large driver fleets.

2️⃣ Where to Find This Option?

In the Admin Panel, under:
Subscription Plans > Create Plan > Select Type > Salary-Based Subscription

3️⃣ How It Works

A. Creating a Salary Plan

  • Go to the Subscription Plans section in the admin panel.
  • Choose the Salary-Based Subscription option.
  • Enter the monthly salary amount (e.g., $2,000).
  • Assign the plan to a specific driver.

B. Example Scenario

  • Driver John is hired by your company.
  • On 1st August, the admin assigns him a salary plan of $2,000/month.
  • During August, John completes 50 trips and earns a total of $5,000 via those rides.

C. System Calculation

  • The system automatically calculates that John's fixed salary is $2,000, but he earned $5,000 from rides.
  • The difference of $3,000 is shown in the admin panel as "amount to collect from the driver".
  • This helps the admin decide if:
    • The driver should submit the excess amount to the company, or
    • Adjustments can be made on a daily or monthly settlement basis.

💡 The system also supports daily tracking, showing ongoing balances for salary vs. earnings.

4️⃣ Key Benefits

  • Automated Salary Tracking – Admins don’t need to manually calculate how much a driver earned vs. their salary.
  • Transparent Driver Reporting – Both the admin and the driver can view earnings, dues, and settled amounts.
  • Reduces Manual Workload – No need for spreadsheets or manual reconciliation, even with 50, 100, or 200+ drivers.
  • Improves Operational Accuracy – Avoid miscalculations and payroll errors; everything is system-generated and auditable.

5️⃣ How to Use It

  • Navigate to the Subscription Plan section in the admin panel.
  • Create a new plan and select Salary-Based type.
  • Enter the salary amount and assign it to the desired drivers.
  • Track driver performance and earnings daily/monthly.
  • Review balance differences at month-end to know what to credit or collect.

Conclusion

The Salary-Based Subscription feature is a perfect fit for fleet-based taxi companies managing salaried drivers. It provides clarity, automation, and efficiency in financial settlements between admins and drivers.

By leveraging this feature in Yelowsoft, you eliminate the complexity of manual calculations and ensure seamless driver payment management at scale.
